WALTER G. Nord School
Welcome to Walter G. Nord School, home to the fourth and fifth-grade Comets in Amherst Exempted Village School District. The faculty and staff at Nord are committed to providing a safe and respectful student-focused environment for our approximately 600 students. We strive to inspire and empower all students to excel academically, emotionally, and socially.

The building is open to students beginning at 8:20 a.m. and the school day begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. Car riders and walkers begin dismissal at 3:10 p.m. with buses departing shortly after. Office hours are 7:30 a.m until 3:30 p.m. Parents and/or guardians should call the attendance line at 440-988-4441 to report a student's absence.
