Navy National Defense Cadet Corps

The Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) is a program sponsored by the United States Navy which emphasizes citizenship, leadership, self-reliance, personal discipline, community service and patriotism.  The program is available for students in grades 9-12 and can be taken all four years of high school.

Benefits of NNDCC

  • ASVAB/ACT/SAT Test Prep
  • PE Waiver
  • Ability to earn Student Engagement, Community Service, & Military Enlistment Seals.
  • Cadets who enlist with three years of Naval Science are eligible for advanced promotion to pay grade E-3 upon initial enlistment in an active or reserve component of the Army, Navy, or Air Force, and pay grade E-2 in the Marine Corps.
  • Cadets who enlist with two years of Naval Science are eligible for advanced pay grade to E-2 (except in Marine Corps and Air Force)
  • Senior Naval Science Instructor is authorized to nominate a cadet each year to compete for U.S. Naval Academy Appointments.
