A action shot of Amherst Steele Cheer at State Competition

What a season for our Steele Cheerleaders! At the Amherst Game Day State Championship, our team faced off against five incredible teams, including our longtime rivals, Big Walnut. After falling behind them at nationals, our girls were determined to prove that was just a fluke—and they did just that! Steele dominated, beating Big Walnut by 8 points—a massive margin in the cheer world!

Our Traditional Team also had an incredible journey this season, overcoming injuries, roster changes, and constant adjustments. In true Steele fashion, they pushed through, making last-minute routine changes the week of the state competition to finish as State Runner-Up Champions!

A special shoutout to our seniors, Aubrey Dooley and Tori Verde, who graduate this year as three-time state champions—an amazing legacy to leave behind!

Coach Glowacki said that it was her goal to showcase the incredible cheer talent we have at Steele, and I would say that she has done just that. These athletes continue to prove just how exceptional they are. Their dedication, passion, and resilience truly inspire us all.

We are officially BACK-TO-BACK STATE CHAMPIONS, and the goal is clear for next year: 3-PEAT! Congratulations, Steele Cheer!
