At Powers School, our primary goals are to help students become proficient readers, independent problem-solvers, and lifelong learners who find joy in learning. Through collaboration among students, teachers, and parents, we foster a positive environment that supports academic, social, and physical growth.
We are committed to helping all students develop responsibility, self-worth, and respect, preparing them to be well-rounded, cooperative, and independent learners. We value our partnership with parents and strive to nurture each child with care and purpose.
Our aim is for every student to go home each day having learned something new and feeling proud of their day.

"Super Powers"
At Powers Elementary, we encourage students to use their Super Powers which is the language we use to describe our expectations for every child each day to promote a respectful, supportive, and thriving school community:
Calm Body: We learn and grow best when our bodies are relaxed and ready to listen.
Kind Words: Speaking with kindness helps everyone feel valued and respected.
Right Thing at the Right Time: Making positive choices in every moment shows responsibility.
Our Building Is Our Home: We care for our school as we would our own home, taking pride in our shared space.
