In order to better serve your child as they enter Kindergarten at Powers, each Kindergartner will participate in the Kindergarten Readiness Screening (KRA) and Beginning Heggerty Assessment. Please note that there are multiple openings for each time frame below on either August 17, 18, or 19, please select one screening time slot that works best for you and your child. 

All children entering Kindergarten must participate in this screening. Please arrive with your child 5 minutes before your selected screening time slot at the Powers Elementary School office (front door). Following the KRA and Heggerty screening, students will be screened for vision and hearing by the school nurse. Please plan on staying with your child during the 20-25 minute screening.

Kindergarten student's homeroom teacher will be posted on Friday, August 21st in the PowerSchool Parent Portal at 3:30pm. Please note, for student privacy reasons homeroom lists will not be posted outside of the school building. Upon completing your Kindergarten Registration with Amherst Schools, you received an email with your student's PowerSchool Parent Portal username and password. Registration must be complete in order to receive this email.
