Little Comets Preschool Application is Now Open!

The Little Comets Preschool Program is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year for peer models (children without delays or disabilities) who will be four years old by August 27, 2026.

📝 Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Families whose children are placed in a classroom will be notified by letter with next steps, including registration and a $300 deposit. Children not placed will be added to a waiting list and families will also be notified by letter.

Amherst Exempted Village Schools will be CLOSED tomorrow due to the Lake Effect Snow Warning and the forecasted poor weather and road conditions.

🌟 Little Comets Preschool Open House 🌟

Families with future preschoolers are invited to attend the Little Comets Preschool Open House for the 2026–2027 school year on January 14 from 4:30–5:30 p.m. at Powers Elementary School. Come learn more about the program, meet staff, and see what makes Little Comets such a special place to learn and grow.

Free Breakfast for All K-12 Amherst Students Starting January 6!

When students return from break on January 6, all K-12 Amherst students will be eligible for a free breakfast. Each meal includes the main entree of the day, 2 fruit choices, and milk.

Breakfast is available using Nutrition Services funds, which are completely separate from the General Fund, ensuring our Comets get a healthy and tasty start to their day.

Please remind your student to know their 6-digit student number to receive breakfast.
