On March 12, our Amherst Junior High and Steele High School Orchestra students had an unforgettable musical experience thanks to the Nord Family Foundation!
Students traveled to the historic Lorain Palace Theatre to hear a live performance by the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra.🎼 🎻✨
This special concert introduced students to the power of live symphonic music, exposing them to professional-level performance, a wide range of repertoire, and the excitement of a full orchestra in action. Experiences like this are invaluable in inspiring the next generation of musicians and deepening students’ appreciation for the arts.
A huge thank you to the Nord Family Foundation for making this opportunity possible!

🎶 8th Grade Choir Field Trip to Baldwin Wallace University! 🎶
Our 8th grade choir had an incredible experience at the Baldwin Wallace Choral Workshop this week! More than 400 middle school choir students from seven area schools came together for a day filled with music and learning.
Our Comets were one of only four schools selected to perform—alongside the local adult ensemble Good Company. They had the amazing opportunity to sing for Dr. Marques L.A. Garrett of North Texas University, a renowned choral composer and conductor. Dr. Garrett spent time working with our students, offering insight on bringing more expression and musical style to their performance.
It was a fantastic day of music-making, collaboration, and inspiration. Enjoy a few photos and videos from this memorable experience! 💚💛🎵
